Jeff is a Principal and leader of Perkins+Will’s global transportation design practice. Through his commitment to design excellence, Jeff’s passion is to create buildings that are more than just a transit exchange, but rather landmarks and multi-use community hubs that support ridership and benefit the greater urban environment.
Jeff’s leadership ensures a dynamic cross-pollination of design innovation and lessons learned between global project teams. His engagement on three multi-modal stations in Saudi Arabia involved a team of over 100 designers across 7 offices, providing the leadership necessary to deliver facilities that would move millions while improving the urban fabric within a prominent setting. He also advised the Riyadh Development Authority in Saudi Arabia on international station design competitions, and led the architectural prototype design of the city’s Metro and Bus Rapid Transit system, which will be the largest transit project in the world. His recent work also includes station design on Metro Vancouver’s new Evergreen Line extension and the development of station design guidelines for Metrolinx in Toronto.
Extending beyond transit facilities, Jeff’s experience with mixed-use developments further enhances his understanding of the integration of infrastructure and community—such as Cross Roads, a 280,000 sf office, retail and residential building located along the Canada Line in Vancouver.
Currently, Jeff is guiding the firm’s efforts on several key transportation infrastructure projects across Canada including Montreal’s Reseau Express Metropolitain, which will be one of North America’s largest public transportation projects, and the Finch West Light Rail Transit project in Toronto.
