Perkins+Will Congratulates Principal Inducted into RAIC College of Fellows and the Vancouver Office's 2018 Promotions

Recognizing Leadership. Our People. Our Firm.

Perkins+Will congratulates Vancouver office Principal Ryan Bragg for being inducted into the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s (RAIC) College of Fellows, class of 2018. Ryan joins David Dove, Principal, and Susan Gushe, Managing Director of the Vancouver office, who were inducted into the College of Fellows in 2017 and 2015 respectively.

The RAIC’s College of Fellows bestows Fellowship in recognition of outstanding achievement. Criteria includes design excellence, exceptional scholarly contribution, or distinguished service to the profession or the community.

“Ryan is a rare and passionate architect and community builder who advocates for sustainable urban development as much as he does design excellence,” says Susan Gushe. “We are delighted to congratulate Ryan on this truly honourable recognition.”

Over his 20-year career, Ryan has led a wide range of projects including multiple, complex mixed-use developments, as well as higher education, transit, and residential projects. His recently completed Marine Gateway project has received several awards including the prestigious Urban Land Institute Global Award for Excellence. The first of its scale in North America, the 875,000 square foot transit-oriented development sets a precedent for building mixed-use livable communities integrated with transit. Ryan actively speaks on issues of sustainable urban development and has become a trusted advisor within the development industry and with policy makers. A strong advocate for design excellence, Ryan served as a past Chair of the City of Vancouver Urban Design Panel.

Ryan was honoured along with Perkins+Will’s Toronto office Design Director and Principal Andrew Frontini, and the rest of the Class of 2018, at the RAIC Festival of Architecture in Saint John, New Brunswick on May 31st.

In addition to Ryan’s recognition, Perkins+Will also congratulates the following leaders who were promoted in the Vancouver office. Advancement in the firm’s Leadership Program requires successful achievement in leadership influence and accountability, excellence in design and expertise, marketing, entrepreneurial and strategic thinking, and collaboration.

"We are pleased to recognize the contributions and leadership of our newest principals, associate principals, senior associates, and associates,” says Susan Gushe. “These individuals have demonstrated actions, vision, and ideas towards advancing the firm’s growth, brand, and culture.”
