Diana Horvat has been practicing architecture for over 25 years, with a focus on architectural interiors and specializing in sustainable design. As a hands-on principal, she is responsible for insuring team focus on the client’s vision and priorities. Diana remains involved throughout the life of a project from site selection and programming through design and project implementation. Diana has extensive experience in innovative strategic planning for large-scale, fast track projects and has successfully led programming, strategy, and design efforts for internationally prominent organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, The Gates Foundation, Conservation International, World Wildlife Fund, and The GAVI Fund. The World Wildlife Fund project received a Presidential Citation for Sustainable Design from the DC Chapter of the AIA and an IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Bronze Award. Diana has presented at the AIA Convention, Greenbuild, and NeoCon East as well as various affiliated professional organizations, such as IFMA, Construction Management Association, and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She has also lectured at The George Washington University and has authored a number of articles on green design, most recently in the Journal of Green Building.
