As the Managing Director of the Houston office, Diana provides strategic, executive, and financial leadership while supporting excellence in design.
A principal and healthcare practice leader, she has 20 years of experience working with academic medical center and community hospital clients, and has played an instrumental role in the design, planning, and delivery of healthcare projects. Diana brings a special interest in Lean planning and evidence-based design to her work, paired with a commitment to improving the healthcare environment for caregivers, patients, and families. In her career tenure at Perkins+Will, she has led interdisciplinary design teams that have been recognized with numerous awards and loyal repeat clients. Diana is a co-founder of the firm’s Innovation Incubator program, which awards research and development micro-grants to designers to fund innovative solutions to real-world design challenges. She has published numerous articles related to innovation and evidence-based design.
Diana earned her Master of Architecture from Rice University in Houston and is a member of the Rice Design Alliance. She holds a Lean Black Belt from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and the Academy of Architecture for Health. Diana’s focus as Managing Director is to ensure that the Houston office diversifies its services and innovates at the highest level while maintaining its legacy of expertise at the forefront of science and technology design.
